Questions
Things you might be wondering
What’s the dress code?
Cocktail attire. Think California modern — elevated but not stuffy. The ceremony is outdoors at the Court of Honor, so heels and the cobblestone may have a disagreement. SF can be cool and windy in the evening, so we recommend a light jacket or wrap.
Can I bring a plus-one?
Plus-ones are noted on the invitation. If your invite addresses you and a guest, you’ll see the option to add them when you RSVP. Otherwise, we’re keeping the guest list close.
Are kids welcome?
We adore your little ones, but we’re keeping the evening adults-only. Children in the wedding party are of course welcome.
What’s the weather like?
October is secretly the best month in San Francisco — warm, clear, and the fog finally lifts. Daytime is usually 65–75°F, but it cools quickly after sunset (upper 50s) and the bluffs by the Legion can be breezy. Bring a light jacket or wrap for the evening.
Where should I stay?
We’ve put together hotel recommendations on the Travel page. Richmond, Presidio, and Marina neighborhoods are closest to the venue.
How do I get to the venue?
Rideshare is easiest. The Legion of Honor has a small parking lot and some street parking, but both fill up quickly. See the Venue page for details.
Can I take photos during the ceremony?
We’re having an unplugged ceremony — please put phones away until after we’ve said "I do." Our photographer will capture everything, and we’ll share the gallery afterward.
What’s the gift situation?
Your presence is the only present we need. If you’d like to give something, our registry is linked on the site.
